Arrival & Departure

Please note that the official ABC2010 programme will start with the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, February 27 at 6:30 pm. Registration is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The programme ends on Thursday, March 4 in the evening with the Final Keynote Address followed by the Farewell Dinner & Party. Departure day is Friday, March 5!

Travel Itineraries - To help us arranging for your airport / train station pickup and transport to the venue in Innsbruck, you are kindly requested to complete the online travel form to provide us with your travel details, as well as additional helpful information such as food preferences and social activities.

To access the online travel form, you will have to login at the ABC2010 website, using the same e-mail address you used to register, and the password you received in your registration confirmation e-mail. In case you have forgotten your password, you may use the “Forgotten Password” button, to have your password resent by e-mail. After login, click on the User Profile button in the menu to enter your travel details. 

Housing

The venue of ABC2008 is the "Hotel Grauer Bär****" in Innsbruck with indoor leisure facilities such as a fitness center, indoor pool and sauna. Rooms have been pre-booked by the organizers and therefore no booking by participants is necessary. Innsbruck, the place of two Olympic Winter Games, invites you to enjoy downhill as well as cross-country skiing slopes to foster informal scientific discussions in fresh air. Rental gear and instructions will be available. Double and Triple rooms will be available for students and postdoctoral fellows.

Travel to Innsbruck

The world-famous City of Innsbruck is located in the heart of the Austrian Alps and can be conveniently reached by several means of transportation:

  • By airplane: Innsbruck has an international airport well connected to every major hub in Europe.
  • By train: Travel to Innsbrucks main train station "Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof" with the Austrian Railways.
  • By car: Innsbruck is situated at the intersection of the european highways E60(A12) and E45(A13). Please let us know if you need more precise directions to find your way or use a routeplanner such as map24.
